How to Fix a File Extension

Especially when downloading files from the internet, for example from services such as WhatsApp, Zoner Studio may detect that a file has an incorrect extension. A warning exclamation mark will appear above the thumbnail of such a file, along with the message: “The file has an incorrect extension and therefore cannot be worked with. You can fix this using the ‘Fix File Extension’ option in the context menu.”

To open the context menu, right-click the file thumbnail in Browser mode or in the Filmstrip. There you will find the Fix File Extension option.
