Editor Module: Basic Information
The Editor module is made for destructive image editing and contains functions for advanced manipulation of a picture.
It has the same basic layout as the other main sections of the program:
The Navigator panel is on the left; press F6 to show or hide it. The middle of the screen shows a preview of the picture that is currently being edited. The right panel contains a histogram pane, basic picture information, and photo editing tools. Press F8 to show or hide this panel. The “Filmstrip,” with thumbnails of the current folder’s files and folders, is shown at the bottom. Press F9 to show or hide this panel.
Batch edits cannot be made in the Editor; only one file can be edited there at a time.
Layers
One unique aspect of the Editor module is the Layers feature, which can be used to, for example, copy part of one picture and place it into another one. The layer controls and the list of the layers created for a picture are displayed in the bottom portion of the right panel.
