Activation Code or License Code
Our selection for schools includes term‑limited and perpetual licenses for single users and for classroom installations.
Trial License
You can try out Zoner Studio free-of-charge with no obligations for 7 days. The trial contains all the features of the full paid version. After the trial license expires, the program stops working until a new license has been purchased in its place.
The trial period begins when you install the program and log in to your Zoner Account without a purchased license.
After the spring and autumn updates that we typically release each year, users without a valid license can enjoy another 7-day trial to try out the new features, even if they have already used up the trial period.
Licenses for Children and Youth Education
Educational licenses enable elementary, secondary, and vocational schools and children’s extracurricular centers to make use of Zoner Studio. They are primarily used in the teaching of digital photography, but they can also be used for other school activities.
School-Wide Subscription License
A subscription license for 1 up to an unlimited number of users or computers for 1–5 years, usable by all of a school’s pupils/students and teachers, both at school and at home.
Perpetual Educational License
A perpetual educational license for 1 up to an unlimited number of computers with yearly updates.
These computer‑based (not user‑based) licenses may only be installed on computers owned or permanently used by the school.
A pre-activated installation may not be installed on, e.g., home computers. See the License Agreement for details.
Licenses for Universities and Other Educational Institutions
These licenses enable the use of Zoner Studio for the teaching of digital photography for any organizations that teach adults at universities, including senior learning programs, training centers, etc. Universities may also use the program for R&D and operational activities by their academic staff.
Perpetual Educational Licenses for Classrooms and Groups
These are licenses for 1 up to unlimited users or computers for use on classroom and operational computers owned or leased by the school—not on the private computers of staff or students.

Automatic License Sharing
For an installation made using a configurable MSI package on the basis of a subscription educational license, you can set up the program to assign a home‑use license automatically when someone signs in on a school computer.
Activation Code or License Code
An activation code is only used for starting a new subscription or attaching a new perpetual license to an account. If you enter it in a Zoner Account where you already have a active license, this creates a second, unrelated license, whose period of validity begins on the date when you entered the code.
Entering the license code for an older version of the program stores that license in the Show Older Licenses section of the given Zoner Account. The program’s installer can be downloaded from this section.
