General recommendations for network installations of Zoner Studio

Licenses for 1 user on a Zoner Account

If the program is already installed (e.g., from a trial), go to step 3.

1. Download the Zoner Studio installation file.
2. Run the installation file and install the program.
3. Run the program.
4. Within the program, sign in to your Zoner Account—the one on which your license is stored.

Licenses for 1 user with an activation code

If the program is already installed (e.g., from a trial), go to step 3.

1. Download the Zoner Studio installation file.
2. Run the installation file and install the program.
3. Run the program.
4. Log in to your Zoner Account inside the program. Then at the top right of Zoner Studio, click the button with your email address. This opens a web browser window showing your Zoner Account.
5. To activate your license, enter your activation code in the appropriate box. You typically receive this code on the license certificate or in the email informing that the license has been issued.

Licenses for 2 or more users on a Zoner Account

1. Sign in to your Zoner Account—the one on which your license is stored.
2. Click on Manage Users. Click the Users item to the right of your license. Enter the email addresses of the users with which you wish to share the site license (these should be their normally-used, official work addresses).
3. The users will receive emails with instructions for getting the program running on their computers.
4. To download the installation files, click Download. Your users will only find a standard EXE installation file on their Zoner Accounts.

Licenses for 2 or more users with an activation code

1. Sign in to your Zoner Account—the one on which your license is stored.
2. To activate your license, enter your activation code in the appropriate box. You typically receive this code on the license certificate or in the email informing that the license has been issued.
3. Click on Manage Users. Click the Users item to the right of your license. Enter the email addresses of the users with which you wish to share the site license (these should be their normally-used, official work addresses).
4. The users will receive emails with instructions for getting the program running on their computers.
5. To download the installation files, click Download. Your users will only find a standard EXE installation file on their Zoner Accounts.

General recommendations for network installations of Zoner Studio

Zoner Studio is not designed as a network program, and so we only guarantee full functionality when it is installed on a standard PC that meets the minimum system requirements.

1. Each user must work in a separate Windows profile; Zoner Studio stores user data there.
2. Installing on a server with Windows Server 2008 or newer requires the Desktop Experience component.
3. For terminal servers, we recommend CPU and RAM appropriate to the number of users and the sizes of the files being processed (min. 1 GB of free disk space, min. 2 GB RAM; multi‑core CPU if working with large files).

Despite the above, Zoner Studio does work problem-free in many types of network environments, via both installation onto a network disk and installation onto a terminal server (multi-user computer).
