What is the difference between a trial version and a licensed version of the program?

The trial and licensed versions of the program are always the same, on one condition: you installed using the installer from our website, which always installs the current version of the program. Every new user receives a 7-day free trial.

After the spring and autumn updates that we typically release each year, users without an active license can enjoy another 7-day trial to try out the new features, even if they have already used up the trial period.

A trial version means a time-limited opportunity to try the program in its full extent.

How do I go about purchasing a new license or renewing it online?

Depending on which license you are interested in or which license you own, you need to do so through the corresponding order form.

What payment options can I use for Zoner Studio?

  • Credit or debit card

Within minutes of payment, we will send you all the information needed to activate your license via email. We accept Visa/Visa Electron, MasterCard/Maestro, and MasterCard® Mobile payment cards. Transactions are secured by the GP Webpay payment gateway. In some cases, you might find them being secured by ČSOB payment gateway instead.

  • PayPal

Similarly as with card payment, you will receive all the information needed to activate your license via email within minutes of payment.

  • Google Pay

Within minutes of payment, we will send you all the information needed to activate your license via email.

  • Cash on delivery within the Czech Republic via three Czech CoD services: Česká pošta, Balíkovna and Zásilkovna

When ordering a Zoner Studio gift box, a book, or clothing with the logo, you can also pay by cash on delivery. This service is offered by three carriers: Česká pošta, Balíkovna, and Zásilkovna. Cash on delivery may increase the order price.

  • An invoice with 14-day maturity (commercial and school licenses)

    For commercial and school licenses, payment via an invoice with a due date is available upon request. For more information, contact us at support@zoner.com.

A receipt for your payment is available for 24 hours after your purchase under Zoner Account | Payments and Orders.

How do I confirm whether I have automatic license renewal set up, and how do I cancel it?

Automatic license renewal can be set up when ordering a new license or renewing a license, if card or PayPal payment is being used. To verify whether it is active, visit your Zoner Account and look in Licenses and Payments, where you can also cancel automatic renewal at any time.

How do I switch to monthly payments?

You can switch to a yearly license with monthly payments in the license renewal order form. The option to change your yearly payment plan to monthly opens up one month before the expiry of your current license.

For example, if a license ends on December 1, 2025, monthly payments can be chosen in the renewal order form starting from November 1, 2025.

I have ordered, but I haven’t received an email from you. What should I do?

You should first check the spam folder of your email inbox, where unwanted emails are sent, and the trash folder.

What subscription periods are available for this software?

This program’s license is available as a 1-year subscription. You can also make monthly payments, but these payments still create a payment obligation that lasts for one year.

If my license will end e.g. in two months, and I purchase a renewal now, what will be the start of validity for my new license?

No matter when you purchase a renewal, its period ties smoothly into the end of the preceding license period.

For example, if your license ends of December 15, the renewal becomes valid and takes over on December 16.

Can I use an activation code to renew my license?

This is not recommended. Activation codes are used exclusively for starting a new subscription. If you enter an activation code in a Zoner Account where you already have a subscription running, this creates a second, unrelated license, whose period of validity begins on the date when you entered the code.

Zoner Accounts can be merged. However, under normal circumstances, separate licenses under different accounts cannot be merged.

What will happen with the program if I do not renew my subscription?

If you do not pay for your subscription in time, your license switches into what is called the protection period. In this period, you are protected from any sudden loss of functionality – you can still work with the program without restrictions for another 30 days.

Even after this period runs out, you can still start the program, browse photos in it, and export them to standard formats.

If you renew your license during the protection period, the new license period ties in smoothly to the end of the old license period as usual. For example:

You buy a license on September 2, 2025, and you order a license renewal a little after it runs out, on September 30, 2026. The end of the new license period is September 2, 2027 – one year after the end of the first license period.

How do I cancel my subscription?

A subscription can be canceled on any anniversary of its starting date. (One year, two years, etc. from that date.) Unless you have set up automatic renewal for your license, simply do not purchase a subscription for the new period. If you have turned on automatic renewal and you would like to turn it off, you can do this in your Zoner Account.

Can I purchase an older version?

We no longer develop older versions of Zoner Studio or its predecessor Zoner Photo Studio and do not sell them or offer them as free versions. Only license subscriptions for Zoner Studio are available at this time.

How do I install an older version?

You can store the license code for an earlier version of the program in your Zoner Account. During the first run of the older version, log in to the program using a Zoner Account to activate the licensed version. See here for more information: How to install an older version.

We cannot provide technical support for older versions of the program that are no longer under

development.

Do you offer discounts for disabled persons?

Unfortunately we are not able to offer discounts of this kind.
