Commercial users can choose between an annual subscription or a perpetual commercial license with annual updates.
Commercial licenses are also available for multiple users under a single license.
Commercial licenses are available to commercial entities and freelancers with a valid company ID.
Trial License
You can try out Zoner Studio free-of-charge with no obligations for 7 days. The trial contains all the features of the full paid version. After the trial license expires, the program stops working until a new license has been purchased in its place.
A trial period starts whenever you install and log in to the program with a Zoner Account that lacks a valid license on the first run of the program.
After the spring and autumn updates that we typically release each year, users without a valid license can enjoy another 7-day trial to try out the new features, even if they have already used up the trial period.
Subscription License
For the lifetime of your license, you are entitled to free updates that provide new features, plus all fixes and improvements.
After the subscription period, a one‑month Protection Period follows, during which you can still renew the program license without any interruption in your access to the program and retain any discounted price guaranteed from a previous purchase.
If you renew your license during the Protection Period, the new license period ties in smoothly to the end of the old license period as usual.
You buy a license on September 2, 2025, and you order a license renewal a little while after it runs out—on September 30, 2026.
That renewal starts a new license period that ends on September 2, 2027—one year after the end of the first license period.
Also, even after this grace period runs out, you can still start the program, browse photos in it, and export them to standard formats.
A subscription can be canceled on any renewal date. (That is: one year, two years, etc. from its starting date.) To cancel, simply do not purchase a subscription for the new period. If you have automatic renewal turned on, you’ll need to turn it off to do this. To turn off automatic renewal, use the appropriate setting in your Zoner Account.
Renewing a Subscription License
You can buy a new subscription year using the renewal order form or on your Zoner Account page. This order form has the same six sections as the form for a new license.
A one‑year renewal costs the same as a new license. To check the current price for renewing your license, log in and then go to the order form.
When a price guarantee or discount ends, the renewal price may rise back to the standard annual price.
No matter when you purchase a renewal, its license period ties in smoothly to the end of the preceding license period. For example, if your license ends on December 15, and you purchase a renewal well in advance, in November, the renewal still waits to take over until December 16—you haven’t lost anything.
Automatic License Renewal
You can easily configure auto‑renewal whenever you’re buying or renewing a license. In order to turn on auto-renewal, a payment method must be stored on your account and set up for supporting auto‑renewal.
Ten days before the renewal date, we email a reminder, and on the renewal date, we renew your license automatically.
You can cancel auto‑renewal at any time in your Zoner Account—go to Licenses and Payments.
Perpetual License with Annual Maintenance
This is a permanent license to use the program. It includes annual maintenance, which provides the right to updates and support.
After your maintenance period ends, you will no longer receive updates. You can continue using the last version obtained while your maintenance was active.
Purchase requires a valid company ID.
Renewing or Purchasing Maintenance for a Perpetual License
You can renew or purchase maintenance at any time after it lapses by using the Renew License Maintenance or Purchase Maintenance options for the given license in the Zoner Account.
Automatic Maintenance Renewal for Perpetual Licenses
Auto‑renewal of maintenance can be set up whenever you are buying a new perpetual license, renewing it, or purchasing maintenance, provided you choose to pay via online card, PayPal, or Google Pay. In order to turn on auto-renewal, a payment method must be stored on your account and set up for supporting auto‑renewal.
Ten days before maintenance expires, we notify you by email, and on the renewal date, we renew the maintenance automatically.
You can cancel auto‑renewal at any time. To do so, visit the Zoner Account and use the license line in the License and Payments section.
Company+ Supplementary License
The annual Company+ license is an alternative to the regular annual Family License for end-users. It lets members of your household use the program for any non‑commercial purposes.
The Company+ license is offered as an annual add‑on to a commercial license.
It can only be purchased with an active commercial subscription or perpetual license.
A “household” for this license strictly means members of one household: people who live together and handle living expenses together long-term.
Purchasing a New Commercial License
To purchase a new license, use the online order form.
First choose whether you want a subscription or a perpetual license. Then log in to your Zoner Account or verify your login. If you do not yet have a Zoner Account, you create one at this stage by entering your email address.
The order form has six sections:
- The license and its scope
Choose how many users your new license will cover.
- Add-on Services
Add on the Company+ one-year add‑on license, a book about Zoner Studio, branded apparel, or Remote Support as desired.
- Choose a payment method
International customers can pay online by card, PayPal, or Google Pay. When paying by card or PayPal, you can choose whether we store your payment information, and whether or not to turn on automatic license renewal.
- License delivery method
Choose whether:
- You will manage the license—it is then attached directly to your Zoner Account—or
- Another person will manage the license—you receive a license sheet with an activation code.
- Billing information
- Order confirmation
Review each item; you can go back and edit any section at any time later. Once you’ve confirmed the order summary is correct, click Confirm Order. The payment gate is contacted. We send a confirmation or a payment request and any further information to the email address you provided.
If you are creating a Zoner Account while making this order, the email will also contain a link for confirming and activating that account. You will also use that same account to activate Zoner Studio.
If you receive no email from us after successful payment, check the spam folder (where unwanted email is stored) and trash folder of your email inbox.

Activation Code or License Code
An activation code is only used for starting a new subscription or attaching a new perpetual license to an account. If you enter it in a Zoner Account where you already have a active license, this creates a second, unrelated license, whose period of validity begins on the date when you entered the code.
Entering the license code for an older version of the program stores that license in the Show Older Licenses section of the given Zoner Account. The program’s installer can be downloaded from this section.
