Downloading the MSI Installer
Users who have the perpetual license with annual updates should install Zoner Studio using the MSI Installer.
The MSI Installer can only be downloaded from a Zoner Account on which a perpetual commercial license is active. To download it, click Download Installation. This displays the installation configurator, where you can:
- Set the MSI Installer’s language.
- Enable user messaging – when it is enabled, the program will show information from Zoner such as article and promo notifications.
- Enable Zonerama – enables access to the Zonerama gallery and mobile cloud straight from the program. We recommend turning this off, as it is typically unsuitable for your end users.
- Enable Zoner Photo Cloud – this enables access to Zoner Photo Cloud.
- Log user out automatically when the program closes – this logs out any active Zoner Account when the program closes. This option is useful for classrooms and any other situation where multiple users take turns on one PC.
- Import settings from previous version – this brings in the settings from earlier Zoner Studio versions on the given PC.
- Enable automatic backup of originals – we recommend turning this off unless a user specifically needs backups of all edited pictures (it increases the total data volume on the local disk).
- Show shopping cart – this enables the user to purchase additional products from inside the program. We recommend turning this off, as it is typically unsuitable for your end users.
- Enable DLNA sharing – this lets your users share catalog files over Wi‑Fi. It is a poor choice for corporate environments, because it lets users easily expose their data.
- Send anonymous usage statistics – this lets the user contribute to program development by providing anonymous usage statistics. For more information on personal-data protection and the handling of personal data, see here.

Program Installation
After you launch the MSI installer on a computer, you will be asked for confirmation that this app is allowed to make changes to the PC. Answer yes, and the installation will run.
Installation is complete once the installation window has closed and the Zoner Studio icon has appeared on the desktop.
The MSI installer places Zoner Studio on the path C:\Program Files\Zoner\Photo Studio 19.
Program Updates
Program updates are not automatic. Users with a perpetual commercial license and currently valid maintenance receive a monthly email that informs them whenever an updated MSI installer is available.
To update to the latest version of the program, download the new installer and run it—there is no need to uninstall the existing program version.

EXE Installation with Perpetual Commercial License
If an EXE installation is tied to a perpetual commercial license with unexpired maintenance, it works as usual, including automatic program updates.
If maintenance has expired, a program installed this way cannot be launched; to start using it again, you must either purchase annual maintenance or uninstall the EXE installation and install using an MSI installer from a Zoner Account.
After maintenance expires for a perpetual license, an MSI installer remains available on the given user’s Zoner Account. This installer is for the last available version based on the expiry date of the perpetual license’s maintenance.
Uninstallation
When Zoner Studio has been installed using an MSI installer, it can only be uninstalled using Windows’ Add or Remove Programs function.
