Commercial Subscription License – Downloading, Installation, Updates, and Uninstallation
Downloading the Installer
Users with a commercial subscription license install Zoner Studio using the EXE installer.
If you have an active license, you can download a pre-activated EXE installer at any time. To do this, visit your Zoner Account and click Download Installation. Shift-clicking on Download Installation gives you the standard EXE installer, i.e. without pre‑activation.
With a pre‑activated installer, you don’t need to sign in on first launch; the activation data is embedded into the installer and valid for 10 minutes.
The installer can also be downloaded from our website. We send a download link for the pre-activated installer to the email address you’ve entered.
If you do not receive an email, you should first check the spam folder (where unwanted emails are sent) and trash folder of your email inbox.
Program Installation
After you launch the downloaded installer, a wizard guides you through the installation steps. You must be connected to the internet. After you choose the installation language and accept the license agreement, the latest version in your selected language is downloaded.
If you are already using the trial version, you do not need to reinstall. Zoner Studio automatically checks for an active license on your Zoner Account during every startup.
Program Updates
Minor maintenance updates are installed automatically. You must confirm installation, however, for the major spring and fall updates.
To quickly check whether you have the latest version, click the question‑mark icon in the top bar and then use Check for Update.
Resolving Installation Errors
Every now and then, an installation can fail and end with an error. To view instructions for resolving any error you happen to encounter, click on Show Online Help within the error message that appears.
Instructions for resolving install errors can be found in the Installation Errors category.
Changing the Program Language
To change the program language, run the installer and then use Change Program Language. The available languages are Czech, Slovak, English, German, Spanish, and Japanese.
Repair Installation
You can use a Repair Installation to fix unexpected behavior by the program. To launch such an installation, run the installer and click the Repair Installation option.
Uninstallation
To uninstall the program, launch the installer and use Uninstall, or make use of the usual method via Add or Remove Programs in Windows.
In the last step before confirming uninstallation, you can choose to keep the Catalog, the preview cache, and the program settings. This lets you then transfer these into a new install.
