Native Camera and Lens Support
Native Support with a Custom Camera Profile
Older Version of Native Support
When Will You Natively Support My Camera?
Zoner Studio supports a wide range of RAW formats from digital SLRs or medium format cameras. Directly within Zoner Studio, you will find automatic error correction for typical lens errors. You can find the lens profile selection on the Camera and Lens tab in the Develop module.
If we do not yet natively develop your camera’s files, meaning it is missing from the list, you need to install the current version of Adobe DNG Converter to process the RAWs. This will allow you to process RAWs from non-natively supported cameras.
Native Support with a Custom Camera Profile
Native support means we take each camera, take pictures with it under laboratory and field conditions, and create a tailor-made camera profile for it, prioritizing accurate color reproduction.
In Develop, for a natively supported camera, the ZONER Standard profile is automatically assigned by default.
For new cameras, we usually provide native support within six months of their introduction.
We are continuously working on the list of natively supported cameras, adding new cameras with native support in almost every new program version – see our Update Information.
Older Version of Native Support
Older native support was prepared without a camera profile for older camera models. In the Develop module, for cameras with older native support, the Internal DNG profile is automatically assigned by default.
Direct Lens Support
In the Camera and Lens controls inside the Develop module, automatic error correction is available for typical lens errors. By default, the lens profile is automatically assigned based on the photo’s metadata.
The From list option lets you select a lens profile from the native library.
The From file option allows assigning a lens profile saved on the computer, for example, from DNG Converter.
If automatic lens profile assignment is not set, use the Set as Default option to automatically set the selected lens profile for all RAWs taken with that lens.
When Will You Natively Support My Camera?
If we don’t natively support a camera, it might mean we are having trouble obtaining one. If you can lend us your camera for approximately a week, it will significantly help with its native support in Zoner Studio.
